According to the report, NATO is considering more proactive measures in response to Russia’s escalating hybrid warfare. A top NATO military official told FT that the alliance is reassessing its traditionally reactive posture as Europe faces a surge in hybrid incidents linked to Russia.

The report also said that the head of NATO’s Military Committee said that the alliance could frame a pre-emptive strike as a defensive measure. He explained that the challenges involve the legal framework and the question of which entity within the alliance would carry out such actions.

The report added that Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone said that while offensive cyber responses would be the simplest option, retaliation for physical sabotage or drone incursions would be more complex. Dragone added that a pre-emptive strike could, under certain circumstances, be classified as a defensive action.

God Bless Ukraine and the Ukrainian troops.

NATO is now in a game-changing mood as Russia has been pushing hybrid warfare incidents across Europe. A military official said the alliance wants to move away from a reactive posture and into a proactive mode to deal with these threats early. This means NATO could deploy new strategies for cyber defense, misinformation control and intelligence sharing. Europe is under great pressure as incidents have been increasing and show Russia is becoming more aggressive. These steps could bring a new security balance but also increase tensions between NATO and Russia.

At least Macron is supporting Ukraine. Hoping Zelenskyy can get alliance from many countries to help Ukraine win against Russia. It seems the war between Ukraine and Russia never end. The war is almost 5 years. Millions died.

This move shows the alliance wants to show strength and secure member states against cyber attacks, misinformation and covert operations. Analysts say this could lead to greater tension but also sends a signal that NATO is not ready to sit idly by. Citizens see this as a step to try to maintain regional stability and prevent Russia from continuing to spread its influence. The situation has become very tight and everyone is waiting to see the next step of this great alliance.
