With the recent bid by Elon musk asking his followers to boycott Netflix, it is stated that Netflix has already lost twenty billion dollars just within a week. And the funny thing about this is that more people are still boycotting Netflix.

The news about Netflix's alleged loss of $20 billion following Elon Musk's call for a boycott is quite surprising and also raises many questions. Musk has enormous influence on social media, and his followers tend to react quickly to what he says, but I find it hard to believe that such an established platform has lost so much value in such a short period of time solely because of that. I think that beyond Musk's influence, Netflix was already facing criticism for price increases, content saturation, and competition with other platforms. The boycott may have accelerated the decline or served as a trigger, but the underlying reason is much more complex. In any case, it's still interesting how a single person with such visibility can influence the market in such a way. Do you think this will have a lasting impact or will it be temporary?

Yes you are right, before Musk's statement, Netflix was already having issues and some people have already started boycotting it. Elon's action was more like adding salt to an already open wound or at least or should i say adding fuel to fire, which caused more surge in Netflix loss.

I’ve read this discussion and it’s clear that Netflix is facing a lot of challenges right now. While Elon Musk’s statement has added fuel to the fire, the underlying problems like pricing, competition, and controversial content were there before.

It’s true that the influence of a celebrity can have a dramatic impact on the market. But we also need to take a deeper look at the underlying factors that contribute to the decline in the value of a company like Netflix. This isn’t the first time a major company has faced a downturn.

Netflix has done too much damage with children shows that are tilted towards same gender relationships. I don't pity Netflix at all. They should even close down.
I was also very surprised when i found out an animation for little children had same sex marriage, and even went ahead to do show the wedding in one of the episodes.
