According to the report, Chinese coast guard ships entered waters near the Philippines’ Batanes province, alarming Manila amid heightened South China Sea tensions. This unprecedented move, seen as aggressive, prompted aerial monitoring despite poor weather. China urged dialogue as Philippine President Marcos vowed to defend territory. Meanwhile, Taiwan reported 57 PLA aircraft around the island, with many crossing into its ADIZ. Beijing’s People’s Daily reaffirmed Xi’s mid-century “world-class military” goal benchmarked against the US. Separately, Solomon Islands barred 21 donor nations, including US, China, and Taiwan, from the upcoming Pacific Islands Forum summit.


The advantage of the Philippines is that the Chinese ships are near the Philippines' coast and within the range of Brahmos.They act like they've already own the entire south china sea when in fact they couldn't even lay a finger with Taiwan.
