According to the report, rebels and villagers in Syrian border areas handed over Assad regime weapons to IDF. The Weapons and Ammo left behind by the Syrian Arab Army were surrendered to Israeli forces—hundreds of crates containing the Assad regime's weapons loaded in IDF trucks.
The report said that Chemical warfare materials are part of the weapons cache that was handed over by Syrians to IDF. The Weapons collected by Syrians include hand grenades, and teargas crateloads of chemical grenades.
The report added that Chemical grenades seized in Syria cause serious irritation on exposure. Rebels who ousted Assad reportedly also helped in collecting weapons left behind.
The report also stated that IDF said that the Syrian Druze community helped to collect weapons looted from SAA military sites at IDF's request. IDF entered Syrian territory soon after the rebels took control of Damascus.
