According to the report, newly released bodycam footage appears to show New York corrections officers fatally beating a handcuffed inmate who died the following morning.

The report said that the inmate, 43-year-old Robert Brooks, was pronounced dead on 10 December, the day after the incident took place at the Marcy Correctional Facility in upstate New York.

The report also stated that following an internal review, New York Governor Kathy Hochul ordered the firing of the 13 officers and a prison nurse who were involved in the assault.

The report added that the office of New York Attorney General Letitia James has opened an investigation into Brooks' death, and the union that represents state prison workers called the video "incomprehensible"

As shown in the video, the beating was so brutal and inhuman. Those police officers forgot they could not escape the law. The victim was handcuffed, so he was helpless. One person versus many so expect death to happen to that one person. May the law prevail.

Yes he was defenseless being alone. Just imagine the brutal beating that lead to the prisoner's demise. Thankful they were all fired and to face the crime they created.
