A Nigerian doctor, Obianma Onya, has said that it's poverty mentality to open a relation's pot of food without asking for permission.

“It is poverty mentality to open a pot in your relation’s house without asking the madam of the house. You no Dey chop for your own house??,” she wrote in a Facebook post on Saturday.
What do you think?

I think the doctor don't know what he is saying. In African, we have a kind of culture that interwoven almost every relative together. Therr is hardly any privacy between relatives except on few occasions. In my father's house, every relative share responsibility together and enjoy life together. It is matter of understanding and deep family values.

I don't know if it's poverty mentality to do so, but i know it is ethically wrong to do so, or it shows lack of proper manners.
Yes, it does show lack of discipline and manners. I dont think it is appropriate to uncover a relatice pot of food
