According to the report, nine dead, thousands evacuated as floods wreck havoc in Thailand. The death toll from flooding in southern Thailand has risen to at least nine, the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation said on Saturday.

The report said that around 550,000 households have been affected, and 13,029 people have evacuated to 200 temporary shelters across southern provinces, the department added.

The report added that Thailand’s Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rain, flash floods, and waves up to 9.8 feet (3 meters) high across nine southern provinces due to strong monsoons.

Flood is everywhere, so we must always protect ourselves by evacuating to a safer place in case there is an order to evacuate. Don't be hard headed, vacate immediately.

Horrible! Thailand is a land of beautiful women and Asian dynamic culture. People should not be stubborn and disregard government warning especially as regards to natural disasters. It is very disheartening to see lives and properties vanish without trace.
