What an overwhelming show, no appearance of potatoes and carrots. I supposed to buy at least one kilo of potatoes and carrots. My sister cooked beef stew and requested me to buy potatoes and carrots in the market. It's a very large market but there's no single seller. I asked the vendors why weren't they selling potato's and carrots. They said that the price of these stuffs are incredibly high. For a potato, the price is $ 10a kilo and for carrots,
$ 8 a kilo. They are afraid that the customers will not like the price so that refused the suppliers to deliver these two veggies, they might only rot. I proceeded to the mall to buy potato's and carrots and indeed the price is incredibly high. Oh, life!

Same here in my country now. The price of potatoes are very high though the price of carrot is still reasonable
Up to this day, there are no potatoes and carrots sold. It is the 3rd day of market day here. It is worrisome. I will buy in the mall later.

It is well, am sure those who still have to sell will also end up increasing their price just so they can make more.
I guess you are right, they might be hoarding the potatoes and carrots, and after a few days, they will appear with prices doubled. Vendors are also ruthless.

Yes they usually do this when supply is limited, or when the product price has increased greatly.

That could possibly happen, and I will know it next week when I go to the market, if the prices are doubled or if the potatoes and carrots are available.
