Tonto Dikeh has opened up about her emotional visit to the children and women’s wards at the National Hospital Abuja, saying the experience left her overwhelmed with compassion.
She wrote:
“Today we stepped into the children and women’s wards at the National Hospital, Abuja, not just to visit, but to carry light.
We were warmly received by the hospital management, and we are grateful for their openness and kindness.
But nothing prepared me for the sight of those precious children fighting battles too heavy for their little bodies.
The pain in that ward was visible… tangible. At some point, I couldn’t bring myself to walk away from the children’s ward. My heart was overwhelmed with compassion and deep empathy.
We didn’t just pray, we acted in love.
