According to Ukraine's president, 12,000 North Korean soldiers would be sent in Ukraine to assist Kremlin forces. However, not all North Koreans support the plan. Indeed, North Korean military veterans who have lived in South Korea have shown a willingness to join the conflict on the Ukrainian side. According to the South China Morning Post, 200 military veterans from North Korea are ready to join. Their objective is to "launch a psychological warfare campaign against their former comrades." A veteran of the military explained: "We're ready to go to wherever needed to work as psychological warfare agents, using loudspeaker broadcasts, distributing leaflets, and even acting as interpreters."
