According to the report, Ondas Holdings has announced plans to acquire Roboteam, an Israeli developer of rugged, multi-mission unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), in an $80-million deal. The business purchase will expand the Massachusetts company’s portfolio by combining aerial and ground robotics, anti-drone technologies, and intelligence solutions under its autonomous systems segment.

The report also stated that Roboteam builds UGVs for bomb disposal, intelligence gathering, and operations in hazardous environments, ranging from 1.5 to over 1,000-kilogram (3.3 to 2,204-pound) units.

The report added that Roboteam platforms are already employed by militaries in more than 30 countries, including the US, Israel, and other Tier-1 defense and security customers. In addition to ground drones, the Petah Tikva-headquartered firm offers Roboteam HUB, a command and control suite that unifies multiple robotic assets into a single operational picture.

The report added that the Israeli firm recently secured over $20 million in orders from an existing military customer, which are scheduled for fulfillment through fiscal 2026.

In addition to the report, Ondas Holdings CEO and Chairman Erick Brock commented on his company’s decision, saying that Roboteam’s integration will enable them to deliver greater mission safety, interoperability, and operational effectiveness for customers worldwide. He said that Roboteam’s proven ground robotics complements their autonomous aerial systems to create a cohesive technology ecosystem capable of serving the full spectrum of defense and public safety missions.
