According to the report, more than 50 mosques and 180 ambulances have been set ablaze during recent anti-government protests that have swept through Iran.

The report stated that 180 ambulances were destroyed over three days of unrest. In the capital Tehran alone, protesters allegedly torched 26 banks and 25 mosques. Nationwide, 53 mosques were reportedly attacked or burned, an incident the embassy described as unprecedented in Iran and across the Muslim countries.

The report added that the embassy also reported cases of deliberate killings of injured people. In one reported incident, individuals who were being transported to the hospital were approached by a group offering assistance; all 11 wounded people were later found shot dead in the head.

The report also said that the unrest began on December 29, sparked by street demonstrations following a sharp devaluation of the Iranian rial, and quickly spread to major cities. The protests have spread to 31 regions, making it one of the largest waves of unrest in recent years.

Additionally, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that armed militants joined the protests on January 8. Iranian officials have accused Israel and the United States of orchestrating the unrest. At least 12,000 people, including 109 security officers, have been killed in the government’s violent crackdown on protesters. The government has expanded the presence of security forces to tighten control and to prevent further riots and demonstrations.

Many were destroyed in this protest that angered Khamenei; however, it is not a reason to kill them. There are already 15,000 killed in this protest. The battleship of the USA and Israel are now in Iran.
