Oyo State Gov Makinde Increases Salary Of Security Guards From N18,000 To N80,000. Oyo state Governor, Seyi Makinde has interceded in the sorry condition of 67 security guards at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology after their emotional appeal to him during a recent event at the school on September 30, 2025.

One of the security guards had found the courage to open up about their paltry salary.He revealed that himself and the other security guards are suffering because they are not permanent staffs of the institution and so are not receiving the adequate benefits they are meant to

18,000 was way too small for that kind of job. The 80,000 is way better. Though not really enough especially for the ones who have families but it is way better and a huge step up from 18,000.
