Pakistani Migrants Dead, Many Feared Missing After Boat Capsizes Off Greek Island

According to the report, at least five migrants from Pakistan died by drowning after their wooden boat capsized off Greece's southern island of Gavdos, the coastguard said on December 14.

The report said that Greek authorities rescued 39 men, most of them from Pakistan even as more people are feared missing. Meanwhile, in a post on X, Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif vowed action against "illegal human trafficking" while assuring support to the victims of the December 14 tragedy.

Human trafficking must be banned. They met their untimely death because of that practice. These people are helpless humans.

It is very unfortunate that people will lose their life over such trivialities. Poverty caused by greedy politicians have pushed poor people to seek alternative ways to survive.
