Pastor paraded after being caught sleeping with a married woman in Edo State

A pastor was subjected to a humiliating experience as members of his community paraded him before he was arrested by police for having intimate relations with a married woman in Edo state. Nigeria

Though there are conflicting reports about how the pastor was caught. A report has it that
he was caught in a hotel with a married female chorister.

Exactly, its annoying when I see news like this because the story won't end here but it would be used to tag others as well.

The pastor better had stepped down as a pastor because he cannot resist human flesh temptation. That married woman must also be jailed. If she didn't tempt the pastor the latter may not suffer an excruciating humiliation.

I don't seem to understand how this is a crime that should warrant someone being paraded. Two consenting adults had sex. And it was never a rape.

It's a shame though but there is a law to punish them in case it's a crime. It's not humane to parade them because of their sexual activities. They are only humans weak and sinful.

I think that was not the right solution. He better be ousted as the pastor rather than parading him with so much humiliation. What he did was not a crime. His members will also be put to shame. That punishment is good only for rapists.

I'm sure that punishment was given at the heat of the moment. It seems the people were very angry with him first as a pastor doing such with a married member

What about that married woman? Was she also paraded? The pastor was seriously tempted by the devil being a pastor he must refrain from doing an immoral act as a role model.

That was unfair, if not because of that married woman, the pastor would not be punished that way. The pastor was not able to resist temptation.

Well it's also a lesson for that pastor. Many saw this in his place so others will not follow his wrong doing. The. shame alone kills him.

Much better if also those convicted rapists be paraded naked to let them feel the agony of the victims of rape. They deserve heavy beating so others won't follow.
