The reports said that the Pentagon has approved sending long-range Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, pending President Trump’s final decision, CNN reported. The missiles, with a 1,000-mile range, could allow Kyiv to target deep inside Russia.

Meanwhile, Ukraine showcased its growing strike capability by hitting two energy sites in Russia’s Oryol region with modified Neptune missiles. In Donetsk, Ukrainian special forces landed in embattled Pokrovsk to counter Russian troops. President Zelensky vowed to halt Russian offensives, calling the situation difficult but insisting defenders were destroying invading forces.

Bravo, Ukraine, may you win the war and disable Russia.

The news that the United States might send Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine is deeply concerning. While I understand that Kyiv is seeking to defend itself and strengthen its position against Russian aggression, the use of long-range weapons could further escalate the conflict and increase the likelihood of a direct confrontation between nuclear powers or those wielding weapons of mass destruction. The war has already caused too much suffering and destruction in the region, and I believe that continuing to fuel these escalations does not help in finding a peaceful solution. Zelensky is right to say that they are facing a difficult situation, but I also believe that the only way to avoid a larger war is through dialogue and negotiations rather than relying on increasingly powerful and dangerous weapons. Peace must always be the priority, and the international community should press for a halt to these military escalations.
