People starting romantic relationships with AI models. How does it work?

We have heard about different people that started romantic relationships with AI models. And I am really confused how it happens. Is it even possible for someone to have a romantic relationship with an AI model?

I have not yet began a romantic relationship with AI.
I should however say that these people are a symbol of the increasing lack of close contact among present-day humans.

I just think that it is psychotic for a person to be in a romantic relationship with AI model. How would the AI express intimacy and emotions?

You are right. Many factors in the present world have led certain people to develop mental disorders of various kinds. I just hope this tryst with AI will not make things worse.
