The World Tonight: The Marcos Junior administration launches a program to fulfill a 2022 campaign promise for rice to be sold at twenty pesos per kilo. Vice President Sara Duterte says the timing is suspicious, as it comes in the homestretch of the campaign for the May midterm polls.
It is indeed suspicious, why just now why not in the previous years when the cost of rice was above the neck? This issue lasted only in some days and halted because of the nearing midterm election. What a disgrace president.
