Philippine National Police anti-drug unit seizes P 78 million narcotics in October

The Philippine National Police –Drug Enforcement Group ( PDEG) reported Tuesday that it seized nearly PHP 78 million worth of narcotics in October. It also resulted in the arrest of 80 drug personalities, said PDEG Chief General Eleazar Matta.

These operations also led to the confiscations of 3.5 kg of suspected shabu, 33 kg. of kush, 33.04 kg of dried marijuana, 45 ml of marijuana oil, 700 full-grown marijuana plants worth PGP 77.9 million.

Chief General Matta said that the cumulative value of the drug seized during the period solidified the PDEG’s position as the leading unit of PNP in drug seizures and the figures reflect the administration’s firm stance on curbing illegal drug operations throughout the country.

Women police officers are also encouraged by Chief General Matta to be keen to protect the citizens from the harm of the drug traffickers. There is no room for the traffickers whose rhetoric is to abuse the innocent people for their own benefit.

Million Filipinos missed the Duterte administration. Everyone felt safe and protected. In the Marcos administration, there are many drug traffickers from other countries traffic drugs, but thankful our police authorities were able to tract them.
