Chairman of the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Emilio B. Aquino on Wednesday asked Google and Apple to immediately remove Binance from their application stores. So Filipino crypto fans cannot access Binance either via the website or mobile apps. The Philippine SEC considers the Binance crypto exchange to endanger the security of investments in the country. Meanwhile, the Binance website has been blocked since the end of March 2024, warning Filipino citizens to immediately withdraw their funds on the Binance exchange, and advising crypto users to only use crypto exchanges registered in the Philippines.

The rules of the Binance exchange are too loose, so they are often used by bad guys to launder money, etc. Also, Binance often does not comply with the regulations where it operates, so the government will have difficulty detecting criminal activity.
