According to the report, the Philippines has announced its decision to acquire the U.S. Typhon missile system, a significant move to enhance its defence capabilities amid escalating tensions in the South China Sea.

The report said that it was confirmed by Philippine Army Chief Lieutenant-General Roy Galido, the missile system will bolster the country's "archipelagic defence" strategy and secure maritime interests.

The report added that the U.S. previously deployed the Typhon system in joint military exercises in northern Philippines, showcasing its potential role in countering regional threats. China has strongly criticized the growing U.S.-Philippines defence ties, viewing them as a direct challenge to its regional influence.

In addition to the report, Chinese Defence Minister Dong Jun has warned that such moves could destabilize regional security. However, the Philippines maintains that the missile system's purpose is solely to protect its sovereignty and is not meant to provoke conflict.

Congratulations Philippines and thank you USA for helping my country acquire this Typhon Missile. China's aggression plays havoc to the peace and order of the Philippines. They are the ones provoking the Philippines. Philippines is a sovereign country and has the leeway and prerogative on what to do to defend its territory and national interest. No country is allowed to interfere not even China.

If you don't understand international politics, you can easily think that some of these allies will rush to help Phillipines when the conflict will start. China is a big brother to Phillipines, let them not allow external bodies to disintegrate and destabilize their economy and human resources.
