The Police Command in Lagos State says it intercepted a truck conveying substances suspected to be Indian hemp during an early morning patrol in the Ibeju-Lekki area of the state
Police intercept Indian hemp-laden truck in Lagos
The command’s spokesperson, Abimbola Adebisi, said this on Friday while addressing journalists at the command headquarters, Ikeja.
She said that the operatives of the Special Squad attached to the Arena Base, Elemoro in Ibeju-Lekki, intercepted the truck.
Adebisi said that the interception occurred on Jan. 18, when the driver of the truck attempted to evade arrest upon sighting the operatives.
“In the course of fleeing, the driver drove into a street where the vehicle could not pass through.
