Powerful companies harming those who complain

Powerful companies and people often cheat vulnerable citizens, especially migrants since they think that they can get away with it. While initially the fraud victim may keep quiet, later the victim may start complaining especially if the losses are very great. Have you come across powerful people and companies harming people they have cheated to silence them?

It might also be happening in my country like in Manila but in the city where I live, I haven't heard about a problem like yours there in India. That could be frustrating and depressing on the part of the innocent citizens.
