President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has declared a nationwide security emergency following the increasing spate of attacks carried out by bandits, terrorists and other assailants across the country.


In a statement he personally issued, the President also ordered an expanded recruitment into the Armed Forces and Police, the activation of forest guards, and tighter security measures for all vulnerable areas.
