If the newspapers are carrying news that the economic offences wing has registered a case against a financial firm for non-payment, what is the procedure for other investors to file a police complaint and recover their money?

Do they go to the local police station or do they go to the police station where the investment firm office is located to file a police complaint? What is the procedure to be followed?
