Purchase in the off-season

I had a conversation with my cousin on Messenger earlier, and we discussed a range of topics. She currently lives in Germany and mentioned that she is becoming more practical now that she is a mom of two. One of her money-saving techniques is purchasing items during the off-season. For instance, she recently bought an air conditioner during the winter when it was much cheaper. Her advice is to buy winter items in the summer to save money.

But there's no winter in the Philippines so prices remain high. It's for other countries with winter season. We only experience less price during Christmas.
