Purchased used smartphones

Have you purchased any used smartphone ? If yes, where did you purchase it, and for how long did you use it ? Did you face any problem with the used smartphone and how did the price of the used smartphone compare to a new smartphone?

I have purchased a lot of used smartphones before. Some where gotten from friends, some I made the purchase from vendors. I can't remember the exact period of time I made use of them, but it was definitely more than two years.

I just have one experience of it, few years before I lost my brand new smart phone. So I decided to purchase second hand Docomo mobile which was very cheap. But soon it started showing battery problems. It was bearing built-in battery so while replacing it, I lost function of my mobile.

Yes, I used to buy secondhand phones, especially during college. I do it for personal and business reasons. I normally buy them in Greenhills, where there are numerous outlets that sell both brand-new and secondhand devices. Before purchasing a phone, I inspect it well and get a warranty, even if it is only for a limited time.

I don't buy second hand phone again after i have a terrible experience. I bought a second hand phone and it didn't last for three weeks, it developed fault. I repaired it. It didn't last two months, it developed another fault. I continue to waste my resources trying to get the phone in order. The money i wasted trying to repair that phone would have bought a brand new phone. Penny wise, pound foolish.

The one that l am replying this thread with is the one that l purchased from a friend. He had used for almost two years but still in a great working condition.
