According to the report, the White House said a tanker seized off Venezuela will be taken to a US port as officials move to confiscate its cargo through a legal process. The raid on December 10 saw US forces rappel onto the vessel in an operation targeting Nicolas Maduro’s regime.
The report also said that Washington later announced sanctions on Maduro’s relatives and several ships accused of moving Venezuelan oil. Maduro condemned the seizure as criminal naval piracy while Russia and regional leaders voiced support as tensions rose over US plans to strike drug routes linked to Venezuela.
Get the criminals, not oil tankers that supply all Venezuelans. Most of those people are innocent people just trying to survive. I do believe it's about the oil. Even Trump said he is keeping the oil.
