According to the report, why is Russia's Black Sea fleet so vulnerable and mediocre? Its warships are equipped with superior radars and missile shields. But the Ukrainian attacks were carried out with anti-ship missiles, Storm Shadow missiles, naval drones, and Bayraktar TB2s with high attack power.
The report said that Russian naval losses included more than 10 warships and large landing craft. These warships were supposedly equipped with superior defense systems. The report also stated that the Russian cruiser Moskva was supposed to be a highly capable ship with layered air defenses based around a modernized naval variant of the S300 system, somewhere between the Standard/Terrier system on the USS Kidd and the AEGIS system on the early Ticonderoga cruisers. It had layered defenses for closer, automatic rapid-fire cannons for point defense. It had to be able to handle at least a dozen cruise missile strikes without the help of any other ship, and it had to shoot them all down.
In addition to the report, the Moskva sank with 64 S-300 surface-to-air missiles. The Moskva was attacked by 2 cruise missiles, both hit, and the ship sank because, like air defenses, damage control was clearly not a thing in the Russian navy. On paper, Russian ships have layered defense systems that can extend more than 100 miles out to the point defense line, which destroys everything that leaks through other defense lines.
Ukraine's greatest strength is being unexpected and doing things out of the box, quietly if Ukraine can get NATO or one of the allied countries to give them a couple of older container ships, refurbish them and make them into intelligence gathering, and manufacturing weapons systems that can help Ukraine win the war, unable to launch long-range missile systems these ships and be able to have helicopters land on them and take off from them brought up to the deck by elevators, and have it so you wouldn't know that by looking at them ( one viewer said).
