From the Manila, Philippines report, a 34-year-old patrolman of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) died in a road accident on Friday night on his way to work.
The officer, assigned to the Tactical Motorized Riding Unit of Cubao Police Station 7, lost control of his motorcycle along P. Tuazon Boulevard in Cubao shortly before 10 p.m. and was run over by a passing bus, according to a news release Sunday.
The report also stated that the initial investigation indicated the officer was coming from N. Domingo Street and heading toward EDSA when he hit a pothole and fell.
The report added that the police officer was taken to the Philippine National Police General Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
The QCPD pledged full financial support. The bus driver was taken into custody.
