According to the report, Syrian rebel leader Abu Mohammad al-Golani reaffirmed the coalition's goal to overthrow President Bashar al-Assad and establish a governance system based on institutions and public representation.
The report said that Golani emphasized the coalition's commitment to protecting minorities and ensuring safety for all citizens under rebel control. The rebels, led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), are advancing on key cities, including Homs, a critical strategic location connecting Damascus to Assad’s coastal stronghold.
Meanwhile, the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) captured Deir el-Zor, further weakening Assad’s grip on eastern Syria. Iran and Hezbollah are ramping up support for Assad by deploying missiles, drones, and advisers as the rebels gain ground.
The report also said that the Syrian government, despite losing Hama and facing setbacks, described its withdrawal from urban areas as a "tactical measure" to safeguard civilians.
Like Israel, Kurds have the right to live. Israel and Kurds can live peacefully side by side with peaceful Arabs. It is that many Arabs who cannot live harmoniously with other people. I hope these new leaders of Syria will be civil with other citizens.
