According to the report, the US Coast Guard made history with the largest drug offload in its 110-year history, seizing over 76,000 pounds of narcotics worth an estimated $473 million off the coast of Florida. The haul, including 61,740 pounds of cocaine and 14,400 pounds of marijuana, was offloaded at Port Everglades during Operation Pacific Viper. Officials warn that this amount of cocaine is enough to fatally overdose the entire population of Florida, approximately 23 million lethal doses.
