Reduction rates on the kerosene usage

I have realized that in my country there's very reduced rate on the kerosene consumption following to the rise in it's price.
Most people are now reverted to the solar lanterns that seems cheaper to afford.

I think gas is cheaper and lasts far longer. I don't even know anyone that is using kesosene to cook any longer.

Most people have really moved on to look for some alternatives for the same.

For cooking we use a rice cooker. I do not know about kerosene gas if it is still sold in the gasoline station. When there was a ferocious storm here 6 years ago, our current and water were affected for one month, so my sister bought a kerosene gas and created a kerosene lamp . Every morning our noses were clogged with a black like smoke .

Recently, there has been a price hike for kerosene, petrol, diesel and cooking gas in my home country.
