If a smartphone or other gadget malfunctions how do you decide whether to spend money on repairs or to purchase a new gadget which usually will have a warranty of at least one year?
I would say that it depends on the magnitude and type of problem. Also, a big factor in decision is the cost involved in repairing it. If it's a minor issue and can be fixed with little manageable expense, I will go for it. But if the repairing charge is decent amount, buying a new gadget makes more sense.
