One of the dilemmas that business owners face is how to replace a departing business manager, especially one that has worked well for so long.

There is an option of picking a new business manager within the existing staff. But I think replacing a business manager with an external person is more advantageous. No room for bias and fresh approach and perspective are some of the benefits.

What are other advantages of replacing a departing business manager with an external person?
 
Before the new manager would start having favourites, it would take a long time and that would ward off nepotism even for a while.

Every action have negative and positive effect. A new external manager may bring new concept and his values to the system. It may take sometime for the new manager to develop a sound working system. It may cause a slowdown the system. On the other hand, it may help cut ties that have draining the organization resources before.
