Resources not fully utilized

In my region we have some resources that have not yet been utilise fully for the benefit of the people . Like here have so many coconut and cashew nuts here that could help raise the living standards for people around here. However that's not easily achieved due to bad governance and other political reasons. What is your views on that?

Yeah some aspect of an economy might not be fully utilized due to bad governance

That is mainly due to poor governance, or the government has priority in developing the country in a particular direction, such as many countries would like to lead in the high tech area.

Sometimes they might not even know how to utilise it. This is because they are not doing the right things for the economy

It's pretty much the same issue here in Nigeria, there are so many untapped opportunities but the government is just too focused on petroleum.
