Retailing Bananas: Viable business or not?

One business that seems to enter my eyes recently is the business of retailing bananas. It basically involves buying ripe bananas in a bunch to resell it at smaller quantities to the locals. What do you think of the business? Would it be viable or not?

Yes, it is a lucrative business here in my location though very few people are into it but you would still make money as a lot of people love to buy
