Ross William Ulbricht, the founder of the darknet site Silk Road, suddenly received a donation of 300 BTC or more than $31 million, after receiving a full pardon from the President of the United States Donald Trump. Ulbricht had previously received a life sentence plus 40 years without parole on charges that his darknet marketplace site Silk Road had used Bitcoin for illegal transactions.
