Detectives are charging a very high amount for their services, since many people require information. Does has anyone started a detective agency or knows someone who does? What are the skills required to run a detective agency?

You need strong investigative skills, analytical thinking, excellent communication (both written and verbal), interpersonal skills, and a solid understanding of the law.

Here, there are a few detective agencies which are making good money. To start a detective agency, you need to have good investigative skills and well connected. I know some owners of detective agencies have worked for the police force.

Yes majority of them have worked in the police before they decide to start up their own detective agency. For most of them they have connections with those in the force.

Detective agents are from police force, military, marine, and navy. There's no civilian detective. They are graduates of BS Criminology for a police detective, Marine and Navy schooling. Police detectives are paid according to their standard rate. It could be country to country rate. There's no detective agency operating in my country. Detectives are unknown to avoid maliciously targeted. Only high ranking officials know them.
