According to the report, intelligence showed the so-called Dmitriev package that he presented in the U.S. – it amounts to around $12 trillion, said President Zelenskyy about the Russian proposal of potential economic co-operation with the U.S.

The report stated that the package sparked fears of Kyiv’s exclusion from the bilateral agreements regarding Ukraine’s future. Following the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia defied expectations of experts who believed in its economy’s imminent collapse. The tide has shifted in 2025, however, with the growth stalling and dropping to 1%, with further stagnation expected to follow.

Additionally, the rivalry ahead of the April parliamentary elections in Hungary intensifies, and while Tisza and Fidesz fight for votes, PM Orbán has branded Ukraine the national enemy. All the while, the opposition, headed by Péter Magyar, published a lengthy manifesto vowing independence from Russian gas, closer relations with Poland, and a stronger presence in the EU and NATO structures.
