Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that Russia intends to deploy North Korean troops in combat against Ukraine as early as Sunday. He has urged world leaders to put "tangible pressure" on North Korea to prevent military cooperation. South Korea shares these concerns, calling for an end to Russia's "illegal cooperation" with North Korea, especially in light of Russia's recent approval of a defense treaty with Pyongyang. The Ukrainian president's chief of staff emphasized that a long-term peace requires the complete withdrawal of Russian troops, not just diplomatic talks, to end the conflict that has lasted more than two and a half years.
