One of these factors is the dangerous natural activity of a mud volcano near the structure's supports. The hydrogeologist says that the scenarios for the bridge's destruction may be very different. If the structure is capable of withstanding an earthquake, then the activity of a mud volcano poses a greater threat.

The report added that the Navy explained why the Crimean Bridge is a legitimate target for Ukraine. According to the agency's representative, Dmitry Pletenchuk, part of the bridge illegally built by Russians is located in Ukraine's territorial waters. "We have done, are doing, and will continue to do everything in our power... This is an legitimate target. We must start with the fact that part of this bridge is located in the territorial sea, the territorial waters of Ukraine," he noted.
