Every business organization always have that staff that is so skilled over other staff. They understand their jobs more than other staff and can deliver best.

Supposing such a staff is involved in a situation like defrauding the business, which is a sack worthy offence.

Would you be able to sack him or her? How tough would that decision be for you?

It's going to be extremely hard to let go of such staff, but in a situation where i have to, no matter how hard it might be, i have to let them go.

That's where business owners need to have real guts. I would let the so called best staff go if he or she does something that really hurts the business.

Now is when the real test comes because that is the trust. But honesty is everything in business and if you laugh with monkeys you will reap the straw. No matter how great he is, he is a poison that will destroy the company. Firing him is necessary to protect the respect and discipline of all other employees at work.
