A business has many functions. from the business itself, the workers, the products, and the customers. In the business arena, these two people are responsible for the sales and marketing of the business products vis-a-vis the prospective buyers. These two business functions are often carried out by the same department. The role of the sales and marketing departments is to promote the business and reach out to prospects, potential and existing partners, investors, and more. Its end goal is to generate sales and increase brand awareness. They are also responsible for researching the market and the target audience about the image of the business to the social media creating advertising campaigns, and acquiring new customers. They may also design brochures and other promotional materials, write website content, and reach out to reporters and journalists. They are responsible for the growth of the business.
 
The marketing department is a very important part of the business, this department is in charge of ensuring the business reaches it's target audience, and sales are made.
