According to the report, the US' newly inaugurated President Donald Trump is breaking traditions one after the other right from the beginning of his second term.
The report said that it began with the US Secretary of State Marco Rubio holding his first bilateral meeting with the Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, instead of the US allies. In his latest move, Trump made his first phone call to Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) after taking office.
The report also said that the Saudi state media reported that MBS has promised a massive investment package worth around 600 billion dollars for the US. This comes after Trump asked Riyadh to announce investments in the US.
The report added that President Trump is even expected to visit Riyadh, which would again be a break from tradition. Unlike Joe Biden, Trump has always been very supportive of Riyadh. How will Trump and Washington benefit from the growing US-Saudi ties?
That is a huge investment for the USA. At least Saudi Arabia is not participating in any war, unlike the other Muslim countries like Iran.
