Furthermore, in many cases, rent arrears can lead to legal problems or even the loss of the home, which would be even more detrimental. That's why, in my opinion, you should pay the rent first to ensure you have a secure roof over your head, and then look for alternatives to cover school expenses, even if that means seeking additional help or renegotiating payment plans.
