In my country, many online platforms act as third parties or intermediaries between investors and businesses in need of capital. Securities crowdfunding platforms operate legally and have obtained permits from authorized institutions. They then issue securities in the form of shares or bonds.
Although online securities crowdfunding platforms offer many advantages and conveniences, they also carry several risks/disadvantages, such as:
1. Investors risk losing some or all of their capital, especially if the borrower/business owner fails or goes bankrupt.
2. Shares issued by securities crowdfunding cannot be redeemed/cashed in at any time, unlike shares traded on the stock exchange.
Are there many online securities crowdfunding platforms in your country?
