British Columbians are sharing their failures publicly through the Museum of Personal Failure, which opened in Vancouver. The temporary exhibition inside Kingsgate Mall was created by Evan Collins of Burnaby, who was inspired by the breakup of a romantic relationship. Collins put up signs with the message “Failures Wanted” asking people to submit their failures for the exhibition.
Inside the museum is a wall of rejections, filled with job rejection letters and stern dismissal notices. Jennifer Campbell, Collins’ mother, donated her wedding dress to be displayed as a memorial to her personal failures.
