Selling snacks or drinks at your local high school

I'm curious if any one here have experiences they can share about students selling snacks or drinks at school. While a business like this could help students learn valuable skills, my main concerns would be ensuring it doesn't interfere with their studies or cause disruption in the classrooms. It would be helpful to hear from somebody who has tried having students run a small snack shop before and get their perspective on what lessons they learned, any issues that came up, and what advice they might offer to make it a smooth operation that works for the school.

It also depends on the kind of school though, most schools do not allow students sell during break. As for the issue of it not affecting their studies, it's all about time management.

You are right, my school those days do allow senior students to sell during breaks but they have to be aware of it. I feel like schools should be allowing that though.

My sister sells snacks in the. high-school canteen and profits everyday up to $100.She's always has money.

Having taught in a high school, I would tell categorically that most schools don't want the students to sell because they don't want the students' priorities to be on money at that stage.

Those people that operate canteens in those high schools really make very good money everyday when schoolw are in session.
