According to the report, US President Donald Trump warned of "severe consequences" if Russian President Vladimir Putin does not agree to end the war in Ukraine. This comes after European leaders and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke to Trump, conveying three things: no crucial decisions should be made without Ukraine's involvement, peace must start with a ceasefire, and any deal must include security guarantees for Ukraine. Trump said he is also working on a trilateral summit with himself, Zelensky, and Putin. "If the first one goes okay, we'll have a quick second one. I would like to do it almost immediately, and we'll have a quick second meeting between President Putin and President Zelensky, and me if they'd like to have me there. And that would be a meeting where maybe it could be absolutely work," Trump said. On Vantage tonight, Palki Sharma brings you the full story.

The body language of the 2 leaders suggests they are great buddies. They will do anything within reason to keep peace in the world. President Trump deserves a lot of credit for initiating this meeting, albeit with a different stated objective. This meeting also amounts to Putin's truth-based soft friendly masterstroke in favor of lasting world peace. Overall, this meeting in fact is historic with a positive direction and influence.
